#1
If you have extra family,
I could use them.
I can keep them really close
(there’s a room)
so they don’t sneak away
to be a family without me in Houston.
And even if they did
I wouldn’t care.
Not even if something bad happened
to their house while they were still in it.
#2
poor baby.
first you’re gone,
then forgotten.
it never occurred to you
that things might’ve gone
the other way ’round,
that greying embers
under empty kettles
and candles lit
during the break of day
could be your only company.
You’ll never wonder
how long the hammer
will hang behind the door.
#3
I luve thee dear.
I luve thee
luve I; thee,
lass, thou Luve seas,
Luve life melody:
rocks sands sun;
It seas miles dear,
I thee, still, dear, Luve!
