Visaginas, Lithuania
In August 2016, I went on a pilgrimage of sorts to Visaginas, Lithuania. Originally planned as a utopian forest-and-lakeside community for the builders--then the employees--of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant, Visaginas was designed to form upon completion the shape of a butterfly when viewed from the air. Only one wing was ever realized. I'm just now sorting through these photos again and hope to present a more complete collection in the fullness of time. In the meantime, the curious can consult this website: https://www.4cities.eu/putting-a-forgotten-post-nuclear-town-back-on-the-map/

Still... Life
I have a tendency to look at the space that I live in and use it to make a critical diagnosis: whatever clutter is there reflects a disorder of the mind. Since I have no choice other than to spend a lot of time at home and to live with myself, I tried to be a bit more curious and less judgmental. I didn't move anything or concentrate too much on good composition. I just wanted to see a singular disposition of things and imagine something other than a crime scene. It seems that time is barely moving, yet still... life.

Attached are my Leggenda contributions, in the form of a trilogy. I've formulated the project of watching a bunch of stuff on the Criterion collection, and am mainly watching trilogies--there are quite a number of them, official and unofficial. I'm sure you'll be able to guess which one this series is inspired by.
